Photographic and Heritage Collection
Are you interested in local and family history? Looking for old photos of friends, family or even buildings? Then why not visit the Photographic and Heritage Collection on the first floor which is open Monday to Friday mornings from 10am - midday. We have over 12,000 photographs of Lichfield's past and present, in addition to newspapers, reports, leaflets, books and other memorabilia relating to the cities fascinating social history of the past 150 years. In the Gallery there is a changing exhibition of photographs. Admission to the Gallery is free, and it is open during normal museum opening times. Copies of most photographs can be purchased, however in order to locate the image you are looking for, and purchase a print you will need to speak to a member of the photographic collection team. The collection is happy to receive donations of identified photographs of Lichfield people and places.
